When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it's been deleted.
We all might be feeling a little prickly this morning between the time change and a night full of Halloween sugar and fun—but none of us are quite as cute as Skippy!
This precious porcupine stopped by RAH after spending much of the summer recovering from a gunshot wound in the care of a wonderful wildlife rehabilitator.
Some wild animals, like Skippy, are unable to return to the wilderness due to illness or injury. Instead, they become wildlife ambassadors, helping others learn about and appreciate the incredible creatures we share our world with!
Of course, some of our wild neighbors can also find themselves in a bit of a spiky situation!
Often times, curious pups get a little too close and end up with a muzzle full of those pesky barbed quills. These encounters often require sedation and careful quill removal by a veterinary team.
Whether it's a routine checkup, an unexpected encounter with a prickly pal, or care through life's more challenging moments, Richmond Animal Hospital is here for you and your furry family through every season of life.

The Veterinary Care Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation and is unique in that 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to veterinary practices like Richmond Animal Hospital.
The Veterinary Care Foundation never uses charitable contributions for administration, salaries or fundraising and the funds donated are 100% used and directed by the individual practice managing the fund!
How We Give Back
We believe in giving back, and that starts with our team. Every Richmond Animal Hospital staff member receives 30 hours of paid volunteer time annually to support causes they care about.
When our staff gives back to the community, everyone benefits. We're proud to support our team in making Vermont and our local community an even better place.
