We are proud, honored, and so excited to share… we are FINALISTS in the Seven Daysies! 🌼🎉

Richmond Animal Hospital has been named a finalist for Best Veterinarian/Animal Hospital in Vermont!

To say we’re grateful is an understatement. No—we haven’t won yet (voting opens again in June!), but to us, being named a finalist already feels like a huge victory.

Since taking over ownership on October 1, 2025, we’ve gone through many changes to enhance the client experience. Even when change is for the better, it can still make for some harder days. Seeing our clinic recognized alongside so many incredible veterinary teams is incredibly meaningful. It reassures us that we’re moving in the right direction as we transform RAH into its new chapter, and we couldn’t be more proud of the clinic we’re continuing to build together.

A huge thank you to Dr. Miranda Fritz for the exceptional care and compassion she provides to our clients and their pets every day. To our amazing team—our client concierges, veterinary assistants, and veterinary technicians—thank you for keeping RAH running smoothly and for delivering the kind of care we can all be proud of. And to Dr. Dan Hament, thank you for allowing us to purchase RAH and for believing in us as we bring it into its next chapter!

And thank you to our clients and community who have welcomed us and helped us grow! Thank you for taking the time to vote for us, write positive reviews, refer us to your friends and family, drive from near and far to see us and most of all, for giving us the incredible honor of caring for your pets. It’s not something we ever take lightly.

We are truly trying to create something unique here, and it’s so exciting to see others enjoying it too!

We’ll be sharing more details soon about how you can support us in the next round of voting—stay tuned!

Thank you to our wonderful community for believing in us.

See you in the clinic and/or around the community soon!

When we purchased Richmond Animal Hospital, one of the things that mattered most to us, in addition to providing high-quality pet care, was building relationships with our community and supporting local small businesses. We’re proud to be part of a community that shows up for one another.

Today, we want to share our appreciation for A Clover and One Bee, who will soon be closing their retail space in Essex and returning to their roots as a full-time wedding studio.

They have been a wonderful partner to us and to our community. Their work has always been thoughtful, beautiful, and created with such care. We feel especially grateful for the role they’ve played in helping us extend comfort to families during difficult moments—something they approached with kindness and artistry every single time.

They will truly be missed, and we wish them all the very best in their next chapter! If you want to see them before they go, consider stopping at their shop located in the Essex Experience to say goodbye and grab some flowers and/or follow them on Instagram to follow their work!

As we look ahead, we are actively seeking a floral partner in the greater Chittenden County area to continue helping us support families when they say goodbye to their pets, whether in our clinic or at home.

If you’re a local florist—or know someone who might be a good fit—we would love to connect.

We’re also grateful to continue working with these wonderful local florists:
• Snaps & Sunflowers – Jeffersonville, VT
• Kennedy’s Flowers, Gifts & Antiques – Northfield, VT
• Dragonfly Florals – Highgate, VT
• Scentsations Flowers & Gifts – Bristol, VT
• Nelson’s Flower Shop – Plattsburgh, NY

Thank you to all the small businesses who make our community so special. And to Jasmine and her family—we wish you nothing but the very best in your next chapter. We are so grateful for the time we’ve been able to collaborate and for the many beautiful arrangements you’ve created.

How many people can say they got to celebrate not just one, but FOUR local Olympians on a Thursday night—surrounded by an incredible and vibrant community—and that the parade passed right by their clinic? We can… and we think that’s pretty cool.

It truly was a beautiful and inspiring evening.
Congratulations again to Julia Kern, Ben Ogden, Paula Moltzan, and Ryan Cochran-Siegle on your amazing accomplishments! We loved celebrating you and are so grateful to have such outstanding role models in our community.

Seeing so many kids watching with wide eyes and excitement was a powerful reminder that anything is possible when you work hard and believe in yourself. Who knows—maybe one of those very kids will be next!

And of course, we wrapped up the evening at a local favorite per Sloane: Big Spruce with ice cream!
